Unsure of whether your Nightcore songs meet policies?
If you're uncertain or whether or not a Nightcore song, uploader, or otherwise coheres with the forum's posting regulations, you can post it here to be checked by a staff member.
The only people allowed to check and approve songs here are the forum staff.
Input from other members is not needed, nor will it have any effect. Please do not post in this thread if you don't have something you need to be checked.
This thread is the ONLY place on the forum you can post Nightcore that does not meet standards without being punished. If you post it anywhere else (including the chatbox) you can and will suffer consequences.

Is this alright
Re: Unsure of whether your Nightcore songs meet policies?
TechnoWolfie, that song is perfectly fine.
Don't know about Yakkety's, I'll leave that to someone else.

Re: Unsure of whether your Nightcore songs meet policies?
@TechnoWolfie not sure if that song is supposed to be Nightcore since it's clearly labeled Trance, but I give it a no.

I'm having some doubts about this one, I don't exactly know why, because at first it seemed fine.
But I just felt like asking anyway since this thread is here and I hesitated before uploading it as well

Re: Unsure of whether your Nightcore songs meet policies?
@Yakkety's song, I agree with ravecoming.
The song is alright to use, it's not epic, not shitty either. (Not trying to say it's bad). Fix the quality, then it suffices.
@Bevarii
I'm doubting about it since the male vocals aren't that great. The song itself, it's the right genre, that's not the problem.
I would call it a small no. The vocals are just meh to me :s

Eh, Im still new to editing songs and stuff, any tips on how I could improve the sound quality...?
Also, Im slightly thinking of Nightcoring a Justin Bieber techno remix song, its ok to do it right, I mean, it has lots of female vocals >.>

Re: Unsure of whether your Nightcore songs meet policies?
The easiest way for you to KEEP an OK sound quality (and not IMPROVE it), would be to make sure that your original mp3 comes directly from a cd/webstore and was not ripped from youtube or some other place. To keep is short, small file containers (mp3, aac, ogg, etc.) are called lossy files. Why? Because they lose some information everytime you convert them (even mp3 to mp3 is a conversion). As such, if you were to convert a 320 kbps mp3 (which is quite good) to a 256 kbps mp3, it would sound worse than an actual real 256 kbps. If you were to convert a 256 to a 320, it would still sound worse than a 256, because you cannot improve a lossy file's quality and have commited a lossy transcode.Yakkety wrote:Eh, Im still new to editing songs and stuff, any tips on how I could improve the sound quality...?
If you want to keep an awesome sound quality all over, stick to LOSSLESS file containers (FLAC, APE, WAV, TTA, etc.) = bigger files. These can be converted into one another format as many times as you wish without losing any of their audio quality.
Note that you can convert a FLAC to a 320 mp3 w/o losing audio quality, but you cannot do the opposite, as it becomes a lossy transcode. Unless you are good at file/audio analysis or have received your lossless file from a credible source (the majority of webstores/a CD you ripped yourself) I would not consider it as lossless. The vast majority of people are quite unaware of what I have written here, and lossy transcodes from mp3 to WAV/FLAC can be found everywhere on storage websites such as mediafire and filesonic.
NEVER believe someone who tells you that a lossy transcode can improve a file's audio quality, it is NOT true and is all placebo effect.
Nice jokeYakkety wrote:Also, Im slightly thinking of Nightcoring a Justin Bieber techno remix song, its ok to do it right, I mean, it has lots of female vocals >.>

Maikel, this thread is about whether or not the song meets policies, not about whether or not it's actually a good song.

Re: Unsure of whether your Nightcore songs meet policies?
Well i might say that i am uncertain if my other 6 songs in my channel are correct(besides Tears in The Rain, wich i am pretty sure it is) to be labeled as Nightcores.
Re: Unsure of whether your Nightcore songs meet policies?
Maikel, hm yeah that's why I was hesitating as well, I might remove it as soon as I upload a new one, then

Vocals are also included in the policy if you ask me. That was why I was talking about em.Kirby wrote:Maikel, this thread is about whether or not the song meets policies, not about whether or not it's actually a good song.

Re: Unsure of whether your Nightcore songs meet policies?
The policy just says that the songs should have vocals, not that the vocals actually have to be good.Maikel631 wrote:Vocals are also included in the policy if you ask me. i am not trying to fight you and all but that post that raver did showed what you can nightcore i am not positively sure if that will cut it with the rest of the guys
Re: Unsure of whether your Nightcore songs meet policies?
@TechnoWolfie:
Other than that, just putting it out there that Yakkety is getting his warning removed due to his good dilligence, and I encourage anyone else who got warned or thinks that these policies are too "strict" to do the same. :)

@Yakkettttttttttt As much as me gusta you track, you're still a bit out of the boundaries, although you're getting closer to the real thing. I personally would not accept it, but someone who's a little slack might let your club bass slip past unoticed.

Re: Unsure of whether your Nightcore songs meet policies?
Is this thread about getting general advice on your Nightcore or about whether or not it meets policies, I know it can be hard to draw the difference. Just because your songs are of the specified genres doesn't necessarily make them good Nightcore songs.
