New to Nightcore

Hello, gorgeous people! ^.^ I've just started to get in to Nightcore and making it. I've begun using basic Audacity things for it but I'd like to up my game, if you will. My only complaint is that the audio quality is dreadful. Make sure the original audio source is good (preferably 320kbs) and that your nightcore version is also set at that rate before exporting. I'd also bump up your audio once you've fixed the quality, as the song was quite quiet.

What do you use to render the video?

I'd also crop the images to fit the frame properly, which can be done in any image editor, or in any video editor with the exception of Windows Movie Maker.

Well, I used WMM to add the image and the music and Audacity for the actual song. I also used a Youtube to MP3 converter to get the songs.

Try to avoid YouTube to MP3 converters if possible, it's better to use mp3 search sites like http://myfreemp3x.com. If you absolutely must rip from YouTube, like if the song can't be found in high quality anywhere else, do take the time to find the video with the best audio quality.

Now in your defense, I can't actually find a high quality version of that song anywhere on mp3 search sites, so YouTube is probably the best option in this case :P This one sounds okay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCIBTbpFe2g

As for Audacity, the only thing to remember is to save in 320 kbps, if this isn't already the default.

In Movie Maker you ALWAYS want to add a custom rendering template, since none of the default ones are good for music. Simply click the button which says "Save movie" with a little arrow next to it, and then choose "Create custom setting". Base your new template on the "Windows 8 (1080p)" default by selecting it from the drop-down at the top, then change the frame rate to 30 fps and audio setting to "192 kbps, 44.1kHz, stereo". OBS, do not confuse this with the almost identical 48kHz choice!

This will produce the best possible audio in WMM. I should point out though that the quality will still be much worse than if you would use a better, slightly more advanced video editor such as Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere. You may want to consider one of those if you really want to "up your game" ;)

Moar Kbps, and try out Wavepad, I believe it's far better than Audacity. Don't be discouraged though, keep at it! ;D

It's a matter of preference :) WavePad is easier to use but has less features compared to Audacity, and gives a slightly different sound.
