philosophy and religion
Re: philosophy and religion
Philosophy is how you live your life, or a way of life, (ex Confucianism) but has nothing to do with gods or spirits or an afterlife. Religion, similar to a philosophy, is a way of life that involves worship to a god or gods, (ex Christianity) and that you will be rewarded with some kind of afterlife, although some religions don't believe in an afterlife. So basically the main difference is a philosophy is followed because you feel that you want to follow it for yourself to live a better life, without your faith in a god driving you to, whereas you follow a religion because you believe in it because you want to follow a god. I don't think that I am being clear in my description and I apologize. It is kinda difficult for me to put this into words.
