Best style is now to be decided

Re: Favorite musice genre (part 3)
I would've chosen dream trance as I like Splash and Contacreast, but...
The majority of Nightcore's is obviously vocal so...

J-Core!
Anyways, J-Core can be defined as Trance, Techno, Freeform, and Hardstyle, but it is really a genre of its own.
t+pazolite, Kenta, EZ, MINAMOTRANCE, JAKAZiD, Sharpnel, RoughSketch, Alabaster, REDALiCE, Joshka, Noriken, Thanatos, USAO, POLY CALAMITY, and Betwixt & Between are all good J-Core artists.
Give em a listen?

Having to agree with Jordaz on this one.

Nightcore is (most of the time) sped up vocal or handsup. Sped up dream can also be done depending on the song's beat

For being a Nightcore forum, not having a Nightcore genre in the finals is kind of... pitiful?
If you do consider it vocal, put a /Nightcore alongside it? Maybe it'll win yet.

Re: Favorite musice genre (part 3)
I agree with that one ;p
Well, I consider Nightcore as a mashup of Trance/Techno/Handsup, but like, mostly Vocal Trance.

Due to ex-eaquo, poll is open for one more week or until a winner is chosen. Re-voting is allowed
RC Edit : Dual ex-eaquo again... first to reach 5 votes will win

Re: Favorite musice genre (part 3)
Acid trance : very characteristic synths...
Classic trance : All the commercial things you can think of
Dream trance : Pitched synths (mostly) with a beat standing normally between 135 and 145 bpm. Can have lyrics, though they will mostly be about hope and love (has to fit with synths)
Euro-trance : More on the side of what we would call "Dance music" A very pumped beat and bass with only minor adjustments to singer's voice
Hard trance/Freeform : Major pitch bending to create the "epic part/climax" of the chune. Fast beat (between 170 and 180 bpm)
J-Core : Japanese hardcore/gabber. This one I actually hesitated to put in "Trance" since it's only link to it is some Freeform-like climax. Other than that, speed and synths varies with artists (still it's hardcore/gabber, so expect a minimum of 160 bpm)
Progressive trance : Not a big fan of this one... so would someone care to make an accurate description of it please?
Psychedelic/Goa trance : Not a big fan of this one(again)... so would someone care to make an accurate description of it please?
Uplifting trance : Not a big fan of this one (again x2)... so would someone care to make an accurate description of it please?
Vocal trance : Self explainig is self explaining. Can either stand for any of the above + vocals or slower trance (moslty old classic trance) with lyrics (search for Overload by Voodoo + Serano to have a good audio example) Beat is mostly between 120 and 150 bpm since only a few faster songs will includes lyrics (catchy phrases here and there aren't counted in)

Re: Favorite musice genre (part 3)
It's not final yet... Final will be PART 4 when we have chosen a winner.Challokas wrote:For being a Nightcore forum, not having a Nightcore genre in the finals is kind of... pitiful?

Re: Favorite musice genre (part 3)
My doubt in choice lays with the classic and vocal trance. But when like mentioned: Nightcore is added to the vocal trance list, my vote goes there.
Although I'd agree with Challokas about the odd fact that Nightcore isnt on there, it might be quite obvious why it is not on there. Just like you already pointed out: this is a Nightcore forum. The ppl on this forum all pick Nightcore as their favourite genre of music, otherwise they wouldnt be here...
What is more likely is that RC wanted to vote for a second choise of music...
Just a thought

No, it's because Nightcore is a SUB-GENRE and not a GENRE. Therefore, it does not belong to this poll ;)
