as I can see they have both a cool background where you can see their names in big letters on the side. is it some kind of program they download to make that background on their accounts?

As much as I hate to admit it publicly, I made Maikel's current channel background (red clouds) as well as his last one (blue stars).
Jordan's current background was made by a friend of mine. He goes by Spero78 and no longer posts on these forums.

All backgrounds were created using Photoshop combining free-use stock images and non-commercial brushes/patterns/fonts/etc.

(should belong in Graphics General, by the way. This isn't a tutorial, even though it might seem like it requests one.)
