DCX - Fantasy

Post by joelkalsi » May 18th, 2015, 3:13 pm

Hi there, it's Joel of DCX (behind "Flying High" song, possibly known here from the Dj Splash speed remix).

We got a new track coming out this week's Friday, and it got me thinking if some of you guys would like to give it a go in making a nightcore version of it? A download link can be found below;

http://www.dcx.fi/fantasy

Feel free to upload here and at Youtube, and let us also know so we can check it out. Planning to release a nightcore version officially later on if the track gets some traction, but would be nice to hear how you'd like it as we are often told our speed ups are a bit slower and also lower in pitch than usual. :)

All the best,
Joel

Nice track!

I'll definitely check if a higher speed works out, and maybe there'll be some way to possibly kinda maybe squeeze in an upload as well, maybe ^^ Typically more, eh, sing-a-long-able vocals are a must-have in Nightcore, but there might be some clever way to get around that. We'll see how it turns out.

Also F**KING DCX HNNNGGGG!!!

Edit: 160 BPM (125%) would be as fast as I'd go. Slightly slower still would probably sound more natural.

You don't see a lot of producers come here for something like this! I would if I could, I really would.
I'll definitely be following this for the upcoming releases, awesome to see after some haitus from NU :D

I can't wait for this release, sounds really good ;w; (more reasons to look forward to this weekend). I'll tell my friend to nightcore it if he can :D

Good to hear back from you guys :)

We can go upwards 120% with good quality, but gotta try the 120-125% fork. Won't be released on Beatport (neither version), but will add to iTunes etc.

Btw we just released another new song, and it's a feat with Tina Cousins (known from feats with Sash! on "Mysterious Times", "Forever", "Just Around The Hill", "Killing Time" etc). Wanna check it out? :)

Thanks :)

Yes, felt the 20% speed up was good for this and made it an official nightcore release. On Spotify you can find it under the artist account of "DCX Nightcore", which has been opened for our official nightcore releases. Got plans making some nightcore only songs to be released under this 'moniker' :)

So you'll be making some happy hardcore-esque originals, or will you be 20%'ing it like most of us? :D
Anyway, great that you're searching for your audience.

Definitely going to make some 20% speed ups, but have some thoughts on making originals too. Gotta see how the inspiration flow goes :)

looking forward to them. I would point you to some people in the community so you know what would please us, but there's that thing called 'artistic freedom' I don't want to mess with :x
