A major question about Nightcore.
I know Nightcore is a techno, trance, dance song that has been modified from an original song but are we still allowed to modified it from other electronic music genres than techno, trance, dance song like hardstyle, hardcore, dubstep, bass & etc?. Fast respond will be appreciated and thanks in advance. Make sure you visit my channel!.

Re: A major question about Nightcore.
you are aloud to make them but they will not be labeled nightcore we refer to them as "speed edits" but discourage them on this forum :) (so you can make them but not post or advertise them on this forum)

Re: A major question about Nightcore.
Well, that depends now.
If a certain song has vocals and has that bass who's speed could be increased, it could be Nightcore'd even if it is not Trance/Dance/Techno, but that kind of cases are rare. Would need to hear an example first, to be able to judge.

Re: A major question about Nightcore.
It might be a good idea to listen through some Rave/Dance/Techno/Trance CDs to find some songs that sound good. Or perhaps you could hear some on 90s/Dance radio stations.
Re: A major question about Nightcore.
indeed you can nightcore those songs but thats not nightcore to the standards of this forum. we refer to them as speed edits and do not support the edits outside the 4-5 genresPeter wrote:Well, that depends now.

Some of the Hardstyles for example include a lot of vocals and do not really push out that reverse bass-line, so they can be put as Nightcore as well. Same goes for some Electro House.
Speed Edits, on the other hand, are just Edits that increase the overall speed of the song, but not change it's beat alongside it.
Speed Edits are usually risen Pitch and Tempo of Rock or Pop genre songs, and some others as well.
Edit: And yeah, I've been visiting these Forums long enough to read about what you guys think and have posted to new users a lot of times as well, so yeah. :)

Re: A major question about Nightcore.
Hardstyle even though it has the 4/4-step bassline that handsup uses, it's bass is too hard and it uses screeches, the synth is also a bit aggresive and the vocals are "tough" Dj Scope - Lockdown, Zatox - New Dimension, Frontliner - Creative Community
As for electro house, the bassline is 4/2 as i remember and it's synths constantly changes it's cue, pitch during the song and there is a certain pause between the melodies wich doesn't sound so good at all.
Albin Myers? David Guetta - I'm in Miami Beach?
Nicki Minaj?
The voice of the singers here are mostly Rihanna-like and rap-like, again not sounding good pitched.
Of course some house songs are trancy, Armin Van Nuren, but doesn't sound that good at all, and has been written about this in another topic, idk wich one though.
But yeah, as some might notice not every single Trance or Dance songs might be used, for this you must put your ears at work to obtain the same style that Nightcore uses.
How the voice must sound like in Nightcore? Almost the same as Natalie Horler(Cascada)
As for the male ones, idk...like the ones in Fantasy Project?

Re: A major question about Nightcore.
I am not going to have this discussion again because it is what killed the old forums, also you joined december of 2012 that is not as long as you would think. For example johannez691 joined 2010 that would be considered as long, i've been a member since 2006 or even before that. That is all i have to add to this discussion and will not post here again if the topic is still regarding this topicPeter wrote: I'm afraid you just did not get it.

Re: A major question about Nightcore.
Hardcore is just a (much) harder and darker version of techno. Many hardcore songs use low-pitched vocals, and their speed isn't above normal dance songs like those from Groove Coverage or Milk Inc, for example. But maybe hardcore songs can't be nightcored because they would result in speedcore, and also, the pitched-up voices that are unremovable in nightcore would make hardcore songs lose their status of hell-like songs. Anyway, I will let you decide by yourselves with an example, an original song that could be the best explanation of nightcored hardcore:
