Greetings peeps ^^

I am DARKZAY (duh xD) and im a major stepmania freak haha.. Im good with re encoding mp3s, videos and other bits and pieces into lossless quality depending on the size of the file. ^^ (If you guys know how to re encode, then ignore this crap haha)

Its good to see some ddr friends around. Re encoding is simple terms using an mp3, video or anything else and making the file substantially larger to improve the quality by including bits and pieces of data to make the file larger (Not 100% accurate but it will do)(I could make it technical but typing it out is the hard part :() for example 192 kbps on mp3's are easy to encode to 320 kbps (close to mint quality).
Many people use sony vegas to re encode but after a few tests with some of my music....lets just say things didn't go as planned lol.
I prefer 5.1 surround quality mp3's though ;)

I understand now, In that case... I use Wavepad to re-encode stuff.
Although if I want to shorten a song at the same time, I'll just use vegas.

Ok done some tests with it, and for some strange reason it now works for windows 7 =) (I originally used XP for sony vegas what a disappointment for XP)
Im using sony vegas 9 platinum ^^ Me and my friend mimikkutan were having problems with it but now it is resolved. ^^

2 things

1 : Welcome on the forum

2: Even if you re-encode a 192 to a 320, you'll keep a 192 sound quality, you jsut will eat up more space. All you can do is add numbers of channels from which the sound can flow i.e. Stereo to 5.1 (don't try mono to 5.1 though >.<)
I've had some experience with re-encoding and the best you can do is switching from a 192 mp3 to a 320 wav and then to a 320 mp3, which won't raise quality but will rather preserve it, since programs will think of it as a full scalled 320 and thus, quality won't lower after editing/saving (unless you do too much shit in your editing) Downloading a <X quality file into a X format will also preserve its integrity

Point taken.. but still it would be nice to have a program that would improve the quality of an mp3. :( Frankly I don't care about the size as long as I can hear the music crystal clear. ^^

Thanks. I took a look at your guitar hero skills. Very impressive you should try out Stepmania and don't worry they do Nightcore songs aswell x)
