Is there a thread for just chatting on? :o

This is my first time actually making a real post, and um.. I'm new to this whole site, and I just wanted to start by chatting to people, but, I can't find one on this forum >.<

It's weird cuz every forum I've been to has a stickied thread for chatting D: Helpies? :c

There is already a mini-chat in the homepage, I think it's to avoid a thread just for chatting. You can see who is online in the bottom of the page.

Maybe, but I think it's more logical to make a chatting thread. It also wouldn't involve notifications for newly created threads and replies.

Where do you receive a notification when someone posted in a thread? On the chat right? So, isn't it the same thing? You have to look the chat anyways.

Except that a thread would enable people to follow a convo over many days instead of having to stay in the chatbox when they have to go. I'll move this to forum games since it'll most likely be all spamming.

I don't see a problem with notifications of new posts/topics in the chatbox. It encourages people to post more often.

I don't think such a thread is a very good idea because it'll spam the chatbox with notifications of people posting in said thread, rendering the chatbox unusable. And I wouldn't prefer a thread for chatting over a chatbox, since the chatbox is much more of a "live" thing.

tl;dr I don't approve.
