How to use Maruko Toolbox 小丸工具箱 a Video-prosessing GUI

Post by HKO2006 » May 14th, 2015, 3:10 am

A part of the How to make Nightcore (NIGHTCORE TUTORIAL) UPDATED

Maruko Toolbox is a Video-prosessing GUI
Main features
High quality H264+AAC video compression
Add ASS/SRT subtitles
Extract/mux video and audio from MP4/MKV/FLV losslessly

Maruko Toolbox download, click 下载(78.8M)
Main page (Chinese)

Change language to English and interface

Replace the audio after rendering the video
1. In the Mux tab, under Mux as MP4, drag the rendered video and the uncompressed audio to the video and audio address bars
2. Choose where to save with the output button (optional)
3. Change the .flv to .mp4 in output address bar (IMPORTANT)
4. Click replace audio (and wait 1 second)

Usage examples
Remaking of Nightcore Drive me crazy lyrics
Original video

All the changes are made using Maruko Toolbox, include
1. 480p scratched to 720p by changing the width and height when compressing
2. Skipped the first 40 frames using the Seek function in Video Tab (for the original video has 1.6 second silence in the beginning but my new audio didn't have so I skipped the 1.6 second to sync the song and the video)
3. Replace audio (used WavePad to sped up)
4. Added credit subtitles in 0:09 - 0:12 with a self made srt file when compressing
What is good of Maruko Toolbox
Better preservation of video quality, compare to VideoPad and Windows Movie Maker
Nightcore Drive me crazy sped up 25%
Nightcore - Drive Me Crazy sped up 31% (the Remake)

The 25% one is scratched using VideoPad, you can see the colour is less vibrant and kind of greyish.
Windows Movie Maker always can't handle images well

My image is Movie Maker vs. Sony Vegas, not After Effects :)
