I wonder what kind of music is vocaloid?

I've known vocaloid music long ago but I still wonder if it is new style genre. I cannot picture it as trance, it cannot be techno either. I cannot put it in any genre. but it resembles happy hardcore but was made in japan. Or maybe it was really happy hardcore? need to share what you know please. Here's the example:

I already check the wikipedia and it says about it was develop by yamaha Corp as a device capable to sing and create melodies by programing it alone! Isn't that amazing? But I still don't know what genre is it.

i guess it would be j-pop (japanese pop), uhh..i've only heard a few of their songs but i would put it under j-pop.
But it sounds sorta like an anime song, idk! :D

Vocaloid can be anything from Trance to Metal. So there is no Genre to throw them under just like that, they make all kinds of songs.
