The main purpose of these posting regulations are to renew appreciation for the original Nightcore group.
Before calling any of us batshit crazy for doing this, please refer to this thread. Complaints can be made there if you have any, but before you do so, please actually read through the thread. Seriously, cut us all some slack.
Please refrain from creating threads about these regulations, since there already are plenty. If you do create a thread, and it is deemed that it can stay up, it will be moved to the Classified section away from public view.
These policies have NOTHING to do with the right to have/voice your opinion about anything. The sole purpose of these policies is to regulate terminology. You are perfectly free to like/discuss sped up songs that do not conform to these policies AS LONG AS you are aware that such songs should not be considered Nightcore songs.
THESE RULES ALSO APPLY TO THE CHATBOX.
If you are unsure of whether or not a Nightcore song meets policies, you are free to post in this thread, and a moderator will be happy to evaluate it for you.

Nightcore should ONLY be claimed if the original track is from the following genres AND uses a nice amount of vocals. Note the the videos provided in the spoilers are only there as a broad reference for beginners. Some of them would not be a good reference for experienced uploaders (but then again, they don't need references :P)

In addition, please try to keep this in mind:
- Although we understand the need for beginners to practice, no overly high amount of speed boost will be tolerated. Past a certain reasonable point, it doesn't quite follow the vision of what Nightcore is.
- If you ever Nightcore a song which has already been Nightcore'd before, please try to give credits to the first uploader. If you cannot find the first uploader (mainly because their account has been terminated), then refer to the oldest still existing version of this track (which is easy to find, thanks to the amazing power of YouTube search functions!)[/color]

Failing to follow these rules MULTIPLE times will result in warnings. Too many warnings will result in bans. Due to varying severity of rule breaches, there is no set amount of warnings to be accumulated before bans are issued; this is to the discretion of the staff.
Please keep in mind that warning is nothing more than a request telling you to stop doing something; it does not revoke your permission to do anything on the forums whatsoever, and can only be seen by you and the staff.
You always can redeem warnings if you show good will by asking questions when you are in doubt. You should continuously be asking questions if you ever come to doubt.
Also, don't think you can: warn>redeem>warn>redeem [...] forever, at one point we'll have to ban you (else this whole new policy is silly).
