Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIST)
Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
They contact the artist for premission/record company to ask if they can use the song, it will require you to pay royalties.

I don't get it...Why the artists are giving copyright strikes to Nightcore uploads since what the uploaders do is just a remix or an edit, and since it's a remix done for free it shouldn't have any problems with the law...

Speaking of artists and labels, here are a few (2) labels that you should avoid uploading Nightcore videos from:
YAWA Recordings - They can't currently send out copyright strikes, but it's showing respect towards them not to.
SonicFlashRecords (subdivision is MetrophonicResistance). I tried to upload a song, without knowing they didn't like it, and when I tried to reason with them, they said some offensive/ignorant stuff, so don't even try.
Artists:
Jens O. - Owner of YAWA, so it's best to keep away. Ti-Mo is also part of YAWA, and doesn't like his songs being uploaded either. Of course, they can't send you a copyright strike, but piss off Jens O., and they'll take action.
That's all I know, for now ^^'.

Before I'll do anything else on this from, I'll second this (and the above about Sonic Flash). Metrophonic claimed "Quickdrop - Don't Go Away (OverDrive Division Remix Edit)" after no more than a few days, so stay faaaar away from their releases!defendos wrote:i tried to upload: Nightcore 45 Seconds which is licenced under: Gainworx feat. YAWA has been fine for me though, so far.

Streams Nightcore got a strike from Ekowraith- Booming Track, the label is Kontor New Media Music.

Hmm, haven't heard of Kontor sending out any copyright strikes before.hko2006 wrote:Streams Nightcore got a strike from Ekowraith- Booming Track, the label is Kontor New Media Music.
Seeing how the original was released under YAWA Records, I find it weird how Kontor took action on the video, instead of YAWA (last time I checked, they weren't able to).
I feel the need to leave my world, to discover some other place.
Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
I suspect that they must have done it quite a few times before too, considering that there isn't a single video of Booming Track on YouTube, with the exception of a very shitty cam recording of it being played live.
Very odd indeed.

Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
So I decided to do some research on my free time, and judging by the date Booming Track was released in 2008, probably around the time YAWA could take down videos easily (their last reported request was in 2012 according to Google).
While looking into Kontor New Media Music, I saw the they are infamous for claiming songs (even if it's not theirs), but there hasn't been a report on them taking down a video (until now). I did come across something interesting, though. Apparently, Kontor Records (which was last seen trying to take down materials from Google's webiste they believed to be infringing, last year) started up again in July, and they have been requesting MANY links to be taken down, the last one being on August 10th. https://www.google.com/transparencyrepo ... r-Records/
This is pretty much what I found while doing some research, it may not be 100% accurate though. I'll find the link I used so you can check it out.
EDIT: It seems like Kontor Records isn't targeting YouTube videos, but sites that offer illegal downloads. I still don't understand why Kontor would send a copyright strike.

Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
Yeah, Kontor Records have claimed quite a few songs that I've uploaded, none of which were theirs. It makes sense in a way, considering YouTube's "labels & artists first, others later" approach to copyright. They probably gain a whole lot of free revenue too for putting ads on the videos they claim.
They don't have anything to lose from it either, not unless they claim something and the uploader actually bothers to go to court about it, which no one probably would since uploading copyrighted music is against YouTube's ToS (and the law) anyway.

Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
Hmm I was just told to remove a video containing a bootleg of "How You Love Me" by 3LAU feat. Bright Lights since the remixer was dealing with copyright issues with the song. So yeah, try to not upload that song (regardless of the popular videos containing that song)
Label is BLau Entertainment. Has anyone else received a copyright strike from them (or at least notified to remove a video containing their song)?
Eek my friend just received a copyright strike for having the same song in a mix, so might as well share it:

I know AATW was harsh with their songs a few years back, but has anyone received any recent copyright strikes from them? One notable example is the Clubland tracks. Uploading some of them could've risked your account to be deleted quickly (although seeing how there are so many tracks available via YouTube, I don't know if it was just pure luck to keep your track up or not)
edit: AATW and Clubland Recs are the same as WMG and UMG

Damn it! I just nightcored a Deadmau5 song last night (and was happy with the result). Now I'm a tad too nervous to upload it...
Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
Wavepuntcher (+his other projects) is very anti-Nightcore, seems to consider it an attempt to steal credit for the song, would stay away. Couldn't get much clarification out of him, or a chance to explain, without seeming like I wouldn't cooperate. Got away with deleting the vid, though he sounded very eager to strike.

Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
I do not know if anyone has talked about this so sorry if i repeat so.
I have noticed recently that some Fall out boy songs have been possibly removed (i cant play some on my ipad) especially NightcoreReality's Ultimate Collab video, containing a Fall out boy song. When i went to NightcoreMelodyRemix's channel, all the songs from the collab but the fall out boy song were playable. Today when i went to play NintendoFan12000's 'Fourth of July' song from fall out boy, it wasn't playable. So i researched their label, who is island records, owned by UMG. So i searched on youtube some other users Fall out boy songs and most are playable. So i would like to warn you all about that :3

Aren't those the same people that took down Hands Up Anime's video when he uploaded "Karbon Kopy - Shot Me Down (Basslouder Remix)" but changed the name to "David Guetta - Shot Me Down" to give credit to the original artist?

Re: List of songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload
I found an upload from a song by LNG music, this time they asked if they could've been linked to in the description and to do that in future videos as well, this was from 2014.Grizz wrote:and LNG music asked me to delete a video so don`t upload their stuff ^^

Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
Sorry for double posting, but who exactly are Believe Music? I have gotten a lot of claims on my video (and they're always on behalf of someone). When I looked them up, I saw that they have a bad history of giving out Copyright Strikes to many videos wrongfully. It seems like the video you linked to, HKO, was claimed by Believe, not Balloon (as I originally thought, though I won't be surprised if they do take down videos). Are they the same as Merlin?

Alright thanks for clearing that up.
Another artist to NOT upload songs by is Danny Fervent. I know he does not like it when other people upload his songs, and you might not find many of his songs on YouTube for that reason. A few artists in Mental Madness Records might feel that way also, after the Tunnel Rec. migration.

I forgot to post here, but don't upload anything from UK hardcore artist X-Cyte. He personally striked Scott Bounce & DJ Versatile's Remix of his song "Safe & Sound" on my channel.
Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
Does anyone know if Blanco y Negro songs are safe to upload? For some reason, I feel very uneasy about them, despite not knowing anyone who has received a copyright strike from them (My videos have only been manually blocked by them).

Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
I have uploaded a few songs from them without copyright strikes, though I think I remember them blocking some in certain countries.
Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIST)
This thread is really interesting to read after all this time! I plan to upload some classic songs, so I came here to read about other people's bad experiences with them. I have uploaded almost 200 different Nightcore tracks on YouTube since 2013, but none of them ever got a copyright strike, although over 60% of my videos are claimed by companies. I guess, I must have been very lucky! The only explanation I can think of is that I tend to upload older songs at least 2 years after their releases, but on the other hand I read that you guys have had issues even with older releases. I know it's hard to predict the behavior of the right owners, but even so I think that nowadays copyright strikes on videos containing old music, like the tracks that everyone has mentioned here, are rare cases. Someone said, Ipnotika takes down all full versions of their releases on YouTube. Exactly one year ago I uploaded 2 really old Ipnotika songs in their full versions. Although the company has monetized my videos since day 1, they never got taken down. I am also aware that in our days Nightcore channels usually get strikes for the artwork -rather than the music- they use without permission and that makes more sense, since there is no Content-ID detector for images on YouTube yet. The artists are probably fed up when they get no credits and no money for the use of their artwork. That said, posting very popular new songs is still risky. My conclusion is that the good old dance songs that used to be dangerous to upload on YouTube might not be much of a threat now. I consider this thread outdated, but I would like to hear the opinions of everyone who is still here and reads my reply; Do you think it's wise to stay away from the mentioned songs, artists and labels up to this day?
Looking forward to your responses! :)
