A copyright strike may expire in 6 months, subject to certain conditions, as long as no additional copyright notifications are received during that time.
Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIST)
Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
Taken from Youtube's general policy enforcement page under the account strikes section:
Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
How about we stop until someone in the community claims that it happened to them, because absolutely no one in the history of this forum has EVER had their strikes removed. YouTube doesn't always keep their word either. Technically, you're not supposed to create additional accounts after being banned but no one has been punished for doing so.
Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
Oil In Gulf, I do see where you're coming from, but I see where Kirby is coming from as well. That tidbit in general policy enforcement has actually been up there for a pretty darn long amount of time. Pay close attention to MAY and SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS. Whatever those "certain conditions" are, no one in the music community has ever met them as far as I know. I know you mean well, but don't give people here false hope. :P
And just putting it out there. Copyright strikes being removed wouldn't make any legal sense. When DMCA takedowns are filed, YouTube enters a legally binding contract with the claimnant to remove the video off of site premises. Legalese doesn't have expiration dates. No criminal offense is any less illegal than it was 6 months back.
I would presume that the few people who have claimed to have their strikes removed were very special cases that YouTube reviewed individually. Meaning no dice for all the uploaders who actually do break the laws.

1st strike on the new channel.
1st strike on the new channel.

Re: Songs/artists/record labels NOT to upload (COPYRIGHT LIS
A lot of new record labels have been popping up lately.
I've noticed that for older songs, they're now under labels that will give copyright strikes
I gave up on the whole idea of uploading many euro, american songs because I know that right behind it, theres a record label waiting to give a strike. Now I try to find tracks that are created solely by their owners and under cc license.

In my belief, American companies may take a while to file claims and ID matches. I have Pitbull's Rain Over Me on my channel, but no e-mails concerning yet.

NOTE* Ekowraith most likely gave out the strike because of the download link - I believe this is the case because this music can still be found on youtube and is not deleted.

As i posted on the other thread you posted in. Unless you own the full copyright it is ileagal to earn profit off of it, even if you "remix" the song, the record label still has power over the song and not you.Shadowblight wrote:hey guys I am a nightcore artist. my experience is on my utube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/UniversalDJ100?feature=mhee

So how do other music producers earn profit when they remix songs out there? does the actual music style have to change and still keep the vocal? i understand now so nightcore is utube only?appler wrote:As i posted on the other thread you posted in. Artists ask for permission to remix songs, nightcore is sellable,as far i can remember the original Nightcore sells some of their albums/songs+there is a certain artist called Dj Akira that says that she sells Nightcore, but however most of her songs are instrumental-only(few being really nightcore, she didn't understand what nightcore really is it seems...).Shadowblight wrote:So how do other music producers earn profit when they remix songs out there? does the actual music style have to change and still keep the vocal? i understand now so nightcore is utube only?appler wrote:As i posted on the other thread you posted in. How do you get the artist permission? Do you ring them? And dont you already get charged 'royalty' or something? Ive always dreamed of selling a nightcore album thats all
