With the USA, we have a bad taste in music when it comes to mainstream music. An auto-tuneed song sounds horrible in nightcore fashion, which leads to others thinking that a song sped up is nightcore.

I'd have to say Hungary and Denmark definitely deserve a mention. Whilst it's not the most important country.
Jakizhan and Zakuro111 were huge back in the day and they've definitely made electronic music more recognized.
Most of which has actually been nightcored and will be floating somewhere around youtube.
Unfortunately both their channels got terminated around the time Nightcore started getting really big.

My point being that Night-core is not a band of any specific artist or artists who have their own unique songs. Night-core music is, as far as I have found ((though link me to some that is not, if you find otherwise)), simply the name given as the artist during the remix of any songs.

Nightcore is a band. People tag their tracks as nightcore either to make a point that they are copying the original artists' style or because they think it's a musical genre like techno or dance.

This thread explains it all

Something tells me that John612 is a bot, RC.

Regardless, I love it when newbies walk in and act as if they know everything, and the people who have been in the community for years know nothing. I get a sick kick when people who try to educate people like Maikel about what Nightcore is/isn't. I've heard all kinds of things such as "Nightcore is any remixed music that you can dance to" or "Nightcore =/= sped up" or "To make proper Nightcore remixes you must change everything"

Nightcore isn't rocket science, stop acting as if it is. Two minutes of research will answer all of your questions.

I'm ready to bet that 99+% of Nightcore "fans" didn't even know of the original band name

I knew that the original band was Nightcore... but I didn't know that it isn't a subgenre ¬¬... then what type of music are we doing?...
If this music hasn't got any name maybe it can be called Nightcore due to the original band...

I just stumbled upon this thread and found it interesting. Sorry for the bump, but I couldn't resist providing my input in here.

I would say that Norway and the Netherlands are the two most important countries in nightcore. Norway because that's where the Nightcore group originates from. Netherlands because it's where a lot of prominent members in the nightcore community (including Maikel) come from. Plus, in my experience, it seems like all the good authentic nightcore uploaders come from the Netherlands.

I've seen posts mentioning the USA. I'm in the U.S., and I wouldn't rank it too high. Browsing on Youtube, it seems like most (if not all) American-made "nightcore" (that is, uploads coming from American Youtubers) wouldn't pass the regulations here, let's just say.

That's very interesting. Countries like Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam...I didn't think they'd have a nightcore scene.

Also, forgot to mention this in my previous post, but I'd even rank Canada significantly higher than the USA in terms of true nightcore production. Zurd isn't the only Canadian nightcore uploader that I've encountered, and generally, I've seen more Canadian true nightcore uploaders than American true nightcore uploaders.

I haven't been able to find a good nightcore uploader from America either. It seems like most Americans are into the fake stuff that wouldn't be allowed here. Yes some people posted statistics, but those statistics don't differentiate between real nightcore fans and fake nightcore fans.

If anyone knows any good nightcore uploaders from the USA, please do share.

Thanks. I checked out your channel and I like your uploads so far. Hko2006 should add your channel to the database if he hasn't done so already.
